  • The federal government announced on Tuesday that it would begin a new measurement of poverty next year

  • DC General shelters are overflowing with women and children- some of which got to step out of the shelter and into the White House.
  • A chart showing the percentage of household income spent on housing. Half of those in poverty are spending over 50% of income on housing.
